We're resting our dogs getting ready to head to Austin town for a few shows this week.  NX35 in Denton wore us out.  Or we wore it out.  One or the other.  

For our part we'll offer up 3 shows during SXSW :

Friday 6:20pm @ Showlush's Backyard - 1704 Kinney Ave - Ramble Creek day party put on by our good friend BB. 

Saturday 2:30pm @ J Blacks - 710 W 6th St - |SP| Spune Productions day party.  

Saturday 8:00pm Official SXSW showcase @ Ale House - 310 E 6th St.

Then on Sunday we'll head back home to play at Lola's 6th in Fort Worth.  Maldives (Seattle) will join us along with a set from our good friends Birds & Batteries (SF).  TC goes on at 10:30.  $10 cover.  Buy tickets in advance <HERE>.

Finally! We get to play at home this Friday in Fort Worth. We worked up a couple new songs from the "tide/current" last night that we haven't been playing live since it's release.  One of them is Quiet Assurance which has been on the radio here in DFW so much so that it seems weird that we've never played it.  The neglect will end soon.  Make sure to show up early and catch our friend Glen Farris open the show followed by locals Chatterton who will be celebrating the release of their long awaited E.P.

And so, The Telecopter I blog is born.  The band will hopefully ( we swear we'll give it a go) use this space to fill you in on what we're up to on the the road, in the studio and at home.  At the very least, we'll drop stories on here from time to time about laser sighted bb guns, disc golf courses and the best fried burritos we find along the way.  

Why is it called "The Telecopter I"?  The name is taken from our band name and our affection for remote control helicopters.  The Telecopter I shares it's name sake with our RV which we often call home and where the majority of this blog will be dispatched from.  The numero 1 in the name was added because we're pretty sure we'll have another RV or bus one day and thus another Telecopter.  We didn't want to have to ditch the name altogether.  

This is the kind of thing that people come up with while driving long distances together.  We'll try to keep it to a minimum but the pages of this new blog will surely be full of this useless info such as this.  Check back soon.  Like tomorrow.
